Summit residents who are unable to get to the library due to a disability are eligible to have library materials delivered for free. The library has joined together with SAGE's Meals-on-Wheels program to offer the delivery of library materials along with the meals. If you or your loved one does not currently receive Meals-on-Wheels, arrangements can be made for deliveries to be made directly by library volunteers or staff.
Recipients will be matched with a librarian who will select items based on your preferences and requests. You can tell us exactly what you'd like to receive or you can give us an idea of your interests and let us choose for you! We can deliver books, audiobooks, DVDs or music CDs. Applications for this service are available through SAGE or at the library.
You can also receive library resources using your computer from the comfort of your home. It is easy to receive eBooks, e-audiobooks, emagazines, digital movies and TV shows, instructional videos and more through the library website. If you need help in getting started with these services, call the reference desk at 908-273-0350, option 3. The friendly, helpful librarians can also help you sign-up for services from the Talking Book & Braille Center which will provide no-cost, home-delivered library services to children, teens and adults who have difficulty reading standard print or trouble holding a book.
Library service is available for all with just a call!
